Frequently Asked Questions
What time should I arrive for my appointment?
We recommend that you arrive about 5-10 minutes before your appointment time. That way you will have ample time to use the restroom, drink some water, and we can begin our intake before your appointment begins. Arriving after your appointment time can result in your appointment time being cut.
What should I do to prepare for my massage?
HYDRATE! You should increase your water intake about 24 hours before your appointment and should continue for at least 24 hours after your appointment. The more hydrated your muscle is prior to your appointment, the easier your muscle tightness will relieve and the less likely you are to be sore the next day. Shaving before your appointment is not necessary (unless you would like to) and we enjoy working on clean bodies. Alcohol and drugs should be avoided within 24 hours before and after your appointment. Prescription medication should be taken as directed, and noted in your intake form.
What should I expect the days after my appointment?
Hopefully the day after your appointment you feel relief from your initial complaint. It is encouraged for you to perform the recommended stretches you were given after your session every night and morning for the remainder of the week. Some soreness is common, but should not prevent you from doing your daily tasks. You will feel more soreness from deep tissue massage, if you have not received a massage in a while, or if you are dehydrated.
Do I need to tip my massage therapist?
Nope! We know that people are tip fatigued, so gratuity is included in our competitive prices. We believe that everyone should receive the same exceptional service, regardless of how much they can afford to tip- so everyone pays the same price!
